Description

Epithalon is an experimental peptide hailed for its benefits in delaying age progression and preventing age-related diseases. Research in animal models and in vitro studies on human cells and human studies reported epithalon peptide benefits in increasing healthy life span by increasing telomere length. Epithalon is also known for its therapeutic effects on sleep disorders, cardiac health problems, immune functioning, hormone balancing, and enhancing mood.

Looking to buy Epithalon peptide? At Peptide Lion we have 99% pure Epithalon peptide to give you accurate, reproducible, and effective results.

Read on to learn more about Epithalon peptide benefits and supporting research.

What is Epithalon?

Epithalon also known as Epitalon or AEDG peptide is a synthetic tetrapetide. Unlike long peptides, Epithalon can interact with DNA and histone proteins, enabling it to regulate normal physiological processes including functional activities, cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis of human, animal, and plant cells.

The potential benefits of Epithalon peptide include:

  • Geroprotection i.e. delaying aging
  • Reduces the risk of age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s and dementia
  • Regulating sleep cycles
  • Promoting better and deeper sleep
  • Protects body cells from oxidative stress which can otherwise accelerate aging
  • Strengthens immune function
  • Regulates and stabilizes emotional responses
  • Accelerates wound healing

Epithalon peptide structure and properties

  1. Sequence: H-Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly-OH
  2. Molecular formula: C14H22N4O9
  3. Molecular weight: 390.35 g/mol
  4. Potent antioxidant: Epithalon peptide has strong antioxidant properties that help it eliminate ROS and its degenerative effects on the aging process.
  5. Telomere elongation: Research shows that Epithalon peptide activated telomere genes, which in turn increases the production of telomerase – an enzyme that elongates the telomere phase of cell development. Telomere elongation is what gives Epithalon its unique ability to increase life span in animals and humans.
  6. Dosage: Although the right Epithalon dosage is based on your age, health condition, and, health goals, the typical dose varies between 5 to 10 mg per day.

Epithalon research summary

Protective effects on post-ovulation eggs

The quality of oocytes continues to deteriorate post-ovulation. A study was conducted to assess if epithalon protects against age-related damage in mice eggs. They found that 0.1mM Epithalon had significant antioxidant properties and was effective enough to reduce reactive oxygen species in the aging eggs in vitro. It also decreased cell death or apoptosis of eggs by 24 hours.

Potent antioxidant

Your body produces melatonin – a natural and potent antioxidant that fights off reactive oxygen species or ROS. These ROS are the major culprit behind accelerated aging and cellular damage. Research has shown that EPithalon not only stimulates melatonin production, it also has antioxidant properties more potent than that of melatonin. A study in old rats showed

increased production of multiple antioxidant enzymes such as Superoxidase Dismutase, Glutathione, and Glutathione S-transferase. These enzymes then interact with various ROS, potentially delaying aging and age-related diseases.

Increase in life span and possible cancer protective effects

A study in old female rats exposed to natural and constant northern light showed decreased life span and development of spontaneous tumors. Epithalon peptide not only increased their life spans but also inhibited tumor formation significantly.

A prospective cohort study including 266 participants was conducted to assess if pineal gland peptides like Epithalamin and Thymalin can prolong life in humans. They found that these biopeptides not only improve normal physiological parameters or cardiac health, endocrine function, immune function, nervous system, and metabolism, but they also increased their life span significantly. Besides this, these longevity peptides also reduce the risk of acute respiratory disorders, symptoms of ischemic heart disease, hypertension, and bone disorders.

Increases melatonin production

As you continue to age, your body’s natural ability to release melatonin continues to decline. This in turn affects your nighttime and average daily production of melatonin, causing sleep disturbances in older adults. A study conducted on aging monkeys and humans showed increased melatonin production, normalizing the natural circadian rhythms.

Epithalon is a popular experimental peptide that has been tested in animals and humans for its ability to delay aging and reduce the risk of age-related diseases. Thus, it is hailed as a ‘youth peptide’.

Research has shown that Epithalon peptide is a potent antioxidant and prevents cellular damage. More importantly, Epithalon can elongate the telomere phase of cell development, making it a potential yet promising candidate for research on aging and aging-related diseases.
